The biaxial fiberglass fabric has considerable advantages once applied since it tends to improve the mechanical characteristics, with increased resistance and torsional rigidity. In the biaxial + – 45 the warp and weft are naturally theoretical, otherwise the fabric would not be biaxial, and therefore the values + – 45 refer to an axis 0 which is theoretical and serves to quantify the intersection of the texture. It has an excellent impregnation and a marked decrease in marking. Its use solves every problem in planking boats as the direction of its fibers intersect at “X” with the grain of the wood.
