Description
Bare Steel. The substrate should be clean, dry, well degreased and free from any trace of corrosion or calamine. Apply 1-2 coats of EVIOX CROMOMINIO primer and let dry. Overcoat with 2 coats of SINTLAC finish allowing 16-24 hours between coats.
Bare Wood. Apply 1-2 coats of EVIOX CROMOMINIO primer or apply 2 coats direct of SINTLAC finish allowing the required waiting period between coats.
Previously Painted Surfaces:
– If the old paint is in bad conditions, the loose or powdery parts should be mechanically removed. Clean the surface with suitable detergent material and rinse. Let dry thoroughly. Where necessary use SINTOFILLER to fill up and make even any surface irregularity, sand and follow up the directions as per Bare Wood desciberd above.
– If the old paint is in good condition and it only needs a topcoat because it is dull or dirty but with the underneath coatings still well fixed to the substrate (with no cracks or bubbles), clean, sandpaper and apply 1-2 coats of SINTLAC finish allowing the required waiting period between coats.
