Surface Preparation:
- Sand all wooden surfaces until finishing with 180 grit sandpaper
- Make sure to remove all sanding dust
- Make sure all surfaces are clean and dry
- Use after removing all dirt and contaminants from the surface such as oil, grease and other salts
Mix well before use and use filter paper if product is being used after being stored
Should be thinned with Rylard white spirit.
Application:
- Apply with brush for excellent finish
- Can also be applied by roller but it is recommended to use a flocked roller for perfect finish
- Apply by spray using at least 20% thinner
The greater the number of coats applied the better the protection of the wood. Consequently, for household applications 4 coats is sufficient, for marine applications even up to 8 may be applied for maximum protection. Keep in mind to dilute the first coat equal varnish to white spirit ratio. For each coat increase the % of varnish until finishing off with a final coat of solely varnish.
