BARIGO

BARIGO was founded in 1926 and has developed into one of the world’s leading manufacturers of precise and reliable weather measuring instruments and altimeters. Skydivers, mountaineers and hikers have relied on BARIGO’s mechanical altimeters, which work reliably even under extreme conditions, for more than 30 years. At the beginning of the 90s, BARIGO presented its first digital pocket altimeter and received international awards for its innovative technology and for its modern and practical design. The pocket altimeter no. 44 presented in autumn 2003 was the first to combine a thermometer, barometer, altimeter, compass and watch in one device. The presentation of the “Red Dot Award 2004” for product design and innovation again shows that BARIGO, in addition to the implementation of current technologies, is able to create products that are optimally aligned in their function and usability to address the users. In 2005 the range was expanded to include multifunction watches.
