It is a very high quality epoxy product specific for bilges.
NAUTILUS EPOXY HB is Fire Retardant (retardant in the event of fire) it has no smell and does not emit toxic odors or fumes in the presence of flame, perfectly covering, and clearly visible in all conditions even in dark areas.
For the application use a brush with cut bristles of 1 cm. about. In case of low temperature, warm it warmly and evenly before mixing.
It is ideal to be applied under the engines or to protect the engines. It is unassailable, when dried, from oils, fats and bilge dirt. It can be applied on the residues of previous paints because not containing solvents it does not remove them; however it is advisable to remove the weak or detached parts, sand the old film with sandpaper in the protruding parts and with 3M Scotch Brite (from the rough side) or similar product, the remaining surface. Before sanding, prepare the well-degreased base, allowing Bilge Cleaner to work in the bilge for a few days to dissolve the oils, fats and sludge. At low temperatures, cool it evenly and evenly.
Any subsequent coats can be applied as soon as the previous one becomes tacky. If more than 48 hours pass, it is necessary to wet the surface with the Scotch Brite 3M sponge (from the rough side) to prepare the next coat well. The complete catalysing takes place in 7 days, considering the temperature of around 20 ° C (but completely walkable the next day). Lower temperatures lengthen the complete cross-linking, the higher they reduce the time. When applying in water metal tanks, after cleaning and preparation it is advisable to apply NAUTILUS Epoxy Primer ; the subsequent covering after at least 48 hours (the inside of the tank delays the evaporation of the solvent).
