Description

NAUTILUS EPOX-PRIMER 2 BLUE 750ML

It is a multifunctional paint because it can also be applied as an anticorrosive (for the content of anticorrosive pigments) and for the subsequent painting cycles on iron, cast iron, aluminum, stern drives, steel, lead, galvanized parts and metals in general (flaps, axles , rudders, propellers, supports, etc.).

As a primer on new fiberglass for the subsequent application of the antifouling (after removing waxes and paraffin from the mold).

As an insulator on old antifouling paints for subsequent cycles.
NAUTILUS Epoxy Primer  (two-component, mixing ratio 3: 1 per volume, 100 gr + 20 gr per weight, white and blue color for a correct alternation of the hands) is the precise answer because it not only has characteristics that hold the epoxy but forms a ‘solidarity union with the same and has a considerably greater resistance than the classic adhesives.

Now it is also enriched by A30 Microshield.

Directions for use: degrease, dry, sand and clean. Shake component A well. Pour component B into component A. Mix well, taking care also to remove the material in the center and on the bottom. Wait about ten minutes, add about 10% of C-Epoxy Thinner thinner if necessary, mix well and apply. In summer it can be diluted further during application.
By applying  NAUTILUS Epoxy Primer  on the C-systems epoxy cycle, the optical effect is to see the hull again with gel-coat.

NAUTILUS Epoxy Primer  applied in 7-8 coats (400 microns) directly on new fiberglass hull, guarantees osmosis protection.

It cannot be applied on a damaged hull (if it is not previously repaired with C-systems) because the solvents of NAUTILUS Epoxy Primer , would wet the uncovered glass fiber remaining trapped by the surface catalysing and triggering osmosis problems again.
The covering times are from 8 hours up to 30 days. at a temperature of 18 ° C and complete cross-linking of the product 7 days When painting or treating fiberglass, it is crucial that the print has been carried out for at least 30 days.
